Sheryth Bronson is a young artist from Kaltukatjara (Docker River). She is also a talented tjanpi (native grass) weaver, specialising in making large baskets and platters. Sheryth paints important Tjukurpa (Dreaming) from around the Docker River area, particularly the dreaming of Kungkarangkalpa (Seven Sisters) which is known across the Australian continent. Her grandmother is the late Mrs W. Bell, who was a talented artist from Warakurna. Sheryth loves living in Docker River, surrounded by many generations of her family and raising her own children up.
Seven Sisters
In this depiction the Seven Sisters are traversing the desert , coming together from different areas. The sisters gather to share stories about their journeys and in this way each of them learn about the land – who they encountered, where food and water can be sourced.
