Topsy Farmer

Topsy Farmer is an established artist from Areyonga. Topsy has lived in Alice Springs, but now lives in Docker River where she spends time with her family.

Desert Flowers

This painting depicts the native flowers that bloom across the Australian desert, especially after rain and in the cooler months. Many of these flowers signify particular things, such as an abundance of bush food or the signalling of particular times of year. Some flowers, like those of the kalin-kalinpa (honey grevillea), can be eaten for a sweet treat, or brewed into a cordial to enhance the flavour of water.
