Patrick Green

Patrick Green is a young artist, passionate about his Ngaanyatjarra and Pintupi heritage. Patrick spent his early years in Alice Springs, until his family moved north to Bachelor, a small town in NT. After completing high schooling in Darwin, Patrick went on to complete an apprenticeship as a boiler maker. He returned to his Mother's country in the Ngaanyatjarra lands to learn about and support his family and culture. Patrick was living in Kiwirrkurra for four years before moving back to Tjukurla in 2016.

Patrick is a multimedia artist with an interest in painting, photography, video, illustration and sculpture. He began exhibiting in 2017 with his first pieces, a self portrait video installation, in Revealed Emerging Aboriginal Art at Fremantle Art Centre. He is the grandson of prolific senior artists Anatjari Tjakamarra & Katjarra Butler. Patrick continues to visit his grandfather's sacred Tingari country, Kurlkurta, from which he draws inspiration for his practice.
